Product Review: Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser

I've read really great reviews on this product so I had pretty high hopes when I first used it and after a week of consistent use this is my honest opinion...

Right off the bat the very first thing I noticed about this cleanser was the scent. The ingredient description says the scent is strawberry although to me it smells like candy more specifically peach rings and I freakin love it. I actually got excited to wash my face every day this week, lol.

After washing my face twice a day for a week and applying Bio Oil as a moisturizer I can definitely say my face is much brighter. I believe that by the time I finish the bottle I should have an all around even complexion! Bio Oil is an oil used to help with diminishing the appearance of scars, I've been using it for years and it works wonders for me.

While washing my face for the past, week although the aroma was intoxicating, I can't say I really felt that my face was clean after each use. Maybe I'm just super picky when it comes to cleansers but I know what it feels like when my skin is very clean and I didn't feel that while I was testing this product.

Based on the claims the product makes (to brightens skin) this is a great product but based on it's actual purpose (to cleanse skin) this product is only alright. Overall I would give this product a solid 3/5 and I would definitely purchase this again.

You can never go wrong with a ribbed dress

Personally speaking I believe you can't really go wrong with a ribbed dress. They're very simple yet incredibly sexy. The fabric adds a very flirty nature to an otherwise plain outfit. This dress is perfect for a simple lunch or a first date. You can dress it up with a pair of heels like I did or you can keep it casual with a denim jacket and sneakers (either way you'll look fantastic!) And these shoes. I mean .... YES! I've seen them on instagram for months now and finally decided to just buy them and I'm so glad I did. They're so freakin sexy and actually comfortable.

For me this dress is a win. The fabric is very soft and comfortable which makes this a perfect option for a date or just one of those days when you want to dress up. The fact that the side snaps open or closed is just a bonus. This was my first time ever shopping with Simmi and I am highly impressed. I have the weirdest feet in the world. I'm always between 2 sizes so shoe shopping is usually a hit or miss for me but surprisingly this was a bulls-eye. I bought both pairs of shoes in a US 10 and they fit me perfectly and make my legs look HOT! ;)

Product Review: Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser

I'm not going to lie with my initial wash I didn't expect this product to do anything but cleanse my face so I didn't really have high hopes but I gave it a week and this is my honest opinion.

Personally speaking I'm not a huge fan of cleansers with a scent so the fact that this product doesn't have one is a huge plus to me. This product rinses very clean. Sometimes you have to spend just as much time rinsing your face as you did washing it which is so dumb but with this product in about three rinses the whole thing is off my face. The very next day after using this cleanser I did notice that my face felt smoother already.

After washing my face twice a day for a week straight I can honestly say based on the claims on the side of the box this product does exactly what it says it will. I can say for sure the texture of my skin has definitely improved. Before the week started I popped four pimples around my face and usually after popping pimples they scab and my skin becomes slightly rough. Within three days the texture of my skin became obviously different, it was already much smoother than usual.

However, as a cleanser I think this product sucks. Every time I use this product immediately after my face still feels dirty. So overall I would give this product a solid 3/5 because it does what it claims to (improve skins texture) but not what I believe it should (cleanse my skin).

I don't care what anyone says pants suits are everything ... on women

Dear Fashion Gods,

Please oh please bless me with a pant suit/tuxedo. I can't begin to explain how beautiful I think the sight of a woman in a tuxedo/pant suit is. I personally believe the human body, more specifically the female frame is the most beautiful piece of art ever created. The female frame is full of all these curves and angles and it's so beautiful because no two frames are alike, everyone is different and I love that. When you put a boxy, structured pant suit on top of a curvy figure it makes you stop for a second and go "what's going on here ?" especially when its wrapped in a colorful package. The best examples of this are:

Although in most of these looks these women weren't leaving anything to the imagination by wearing no shirt you can't deny they looked amazing. Sienna Miller looked like a sexy matador, all she was missing was a cape which is ironic because that's a photo from the 2015 Met Gala in which the theme of the night was "China: Through The Looking Glass". That beautiful mustard yellow and bell bottom combo on Lady Gaga took my breath away... like I literally stopped breathing for a second.
And Gwen, oh gwen I love how simple but beautiful her outfit was, a bright color in a simple silhouette ... ingenious. Needless to say I believe pant suits are amazing and I desperately want one ...or two...or twelve.

Simple is Better

Earlier this week I went out with my family and we discovered a cute little Spanish restaurant that was as delicious as it was fun to experience. Lately I've decided I don't really want to try too hard with my outfits. The simpler the fit the better and more aware I feel. When your thoughts aren't consumed by whether or not you're the best dressed, you get the opportunity to actually enjoy the beauty that is life around you. (and LOL! at the fact that I'm always making faces)
